D Double E at 02 islington Academy was a Grime kids heaven. The Legendary mc brought practically brought the whole Grime scene on including Chipmunk, Jammer, Kano, NASTY CREW, Stormin, Sharky Major, JME, Skepta, Kano, Capo lee, Discarda, Tempa T, MEZ, Flowdan, Teddy Bruckshot, Armour, Hitman Hyper, Slick man party, Killa P & Footsie to do a few Newham Generals tunes including “Hard”.
D Double’s first song on his setlist was “Colours” from his Debut Mixtape “on a double’ he done another old school Jem also dropping “Birds in the sky”.
The most Favourite and memorable moment of the evening was when D Double E Performed “Serious Thugz” with JME (Produced by Skepta refixing Bone thugs & harmony “Thuggish Ruggish Bone”. It is arguably my favourite Grime Songs of all time. That night was pure happiness & Hype ! you literally can’t get better than this when it comes to a Grime show.
